Neon Knight: Dice Crawler is now out on mobile. In this game, your entire combat strategy revolves around rolling dice. Holding onto the ones you like, you reroll the rest and hit RUN. Whatever combos you end up with after your final roll all go off at once, stacking together into one big attack.

The dice are your weapons in Neon Knight: Dice Crawler

You get 11 different combo rows, including pairs, runs, full houses, four of a kind, and five of a kind. You can slot chips into each row to level them up, and there’s even a count-up ledger that keeps track of how everything adds together.

Getting three rows of the same kind to light up also has a bonus, since the top row fires twice. Apart from the regular dice, there are special dice with their own faces, wild dice, a loaded die, and even hot and cool boss dice.

In Neon Knight: Dice Crawler, every enemy shows what it’s planning to do before you roll. There’s a check marking an attack that’ll land and a cross marking one that’ll miss. Taking out or stunning an enemy before it gets to act cancels its move entirely. Bosses are a different story, though, since they get to bend the rules.

There’s a street map, too, and it changes with every run. You’ll come across fights, elite enemies, shops, bars, and street events along the way, so no two runs should play out exactly the same. You can hire mercenaries to join your crew as well, and they bring their own chip and dice rule.

Neon Knight: Dice Crawler has five different rigs. The Street Samurai is all about sixes and is available for free throughout the entire game. Then there’s the Chrome Runner, Combat Medic, Signal Jammer, and Siege Titan, all of which come with their own die, starting rows, and house rule. Unlocking those four requires a one-time $4.99 purchase.
