Colonerra: Age of Exploration to Revisit the Conquest of the New World Through

Colonerra: Age of Exploration is a new 4X strategy game focused on the discovery and conquest of the New World, and it’s coming to Steam Early Access soon.

The Game Tzar has introduced the turn-based 4X strategy title, which doesn’t have a specific release window yet. Players become Viceroys of the New World during the Age of Exploration, and are tasked with discovering the mysteries and riches of distant lands while governing with authority. But of course, you can either befriend or conquer the indigenous nations, and history will remember your choices.

Through simulated voyages, expeditions, and trade, nations can leave a mark on the New World, with every colony telling a unique story as shaped by its trade, allies, enemies, and location.

The developer promises a strong focus on economy and trade simulation, with ships sailing across the Atlantic, merchants asking for better deals, and indigenous nations looking to also benefit from your attempts to establish a foothold in new lands.

Meanwhile, war is also around the corner; settlements need to be fortified and troops must be prepared. Whether it’s another nation or pirates looking to plunder, a good Viceroy should be ready for armed conflicts. Turn-based tactics also extend to warfare, as this New World isn’t for the weak.

Eventually, if your colonies, economy, and army are strong enough, you might even declare independence and forge a new nation. Will you follow the path laid in front of you or choose to rewrite history?
