Playson launches Thunder Coins XXL: BoosterCells with new value-stacking

The title is the third Thunder Coins XXL entry in six months, arriving as franchise-sequel releases with layered bonus mechanics become a dominant content strategy across the iGaming supplier market.

Playson has released Thunder Coins XXL: BoosterCells, the latest entry in its Thunder Coins slot series, introducing a new BoosterCells Feature that lets collected Coin values accumulate and combine across the Bonus Game. The title launched on 17 September 2026.

How the BoosterCells Feature works

• The Pile of Gold Feature provides a faster route into the Bonus Game: it can trigger randomly when any Coin symbol lands, adding enough Coin and Thunder Coin symbols to the reels to meet the Bonus Game entry condition.

Buy Bonus and Extra Bet options

Players seeking more direct access to the Bonus Game can use one of two Buy Bonus Game options. A Super Buy Bonus Game variant guarantees three active Thunder Coins at the start of the round. Two Extra Bet options are also available, including a Thunder Spin that triples the probability of Bonus Game entry and guarantees one Thunder Coin per spin.
