The next NBA game on mobile is getting closer to launch, as NBA RISE: Basketball Strategy has opened pre-registration on mobile. Developed by GRAVITY and officially licensed by the NBA and NBPA, the game combines NBA player cards with lineup building, team management, and strategicbasketball gameplay.
NBA RISE previously held its first Closed Beta Test on Android in selected regions, including South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand.
Collect NBA stars, train cards, manage rotations, and build team synergy
This is not a game where you directly control players with traditional touch controls. Instead, NBA RISE is all about how you build and manage your team. You can collect cards featuring real NBA players and coaches, train your squad, choose your starters and bench, and experiment with different rotations and lineup combinations.
Your basketball IQ will matter as well. Matchups, team synergy, player condition, fatigue, and tactical decisions can all affect how your team performs. During matches, you can also make real-time substitutions and tactical adjustments, so you’ll have to react to what is happening on the court.
The game also features 3D player models and set plays, so there are strategic decisions brought to life with this one. Once you have built a squad you are happy with, you can take it into online PvP and compete against other players around the world.
Now, pre-registration is available ahead of the full launch. Players who register can claim an exclusive pre-registration reward after launch. At the moment, pre-registration appears to be available only in select regions, so availability may vary depending on your location.
You can check the Google Play Store or App Store to see if NBA RISE is currently available for pre-registration in your region, with availability potentially expanding gradually. GRAVITY has yet to announce the full global release date, but the iOS Store listing suggests we can expect the game to launch by 3rd March 2027.
