This game will put you as the leader of a warship and its mech squadron, as you get embroiled in a massive war that runs for 100 years. You will also eventually get to see a new generation of pilots taking over and inheriting positions. As for the battles, they are being done in 2D scrolling maneuver actions.

Be advised that the studio has also included a disclosure of AI tool usage on the Steam page. However, they have also indicated plans to replace AI voices with real voiceovers if they receive enough funding.

We use AI tools in production for parts of the game's art, animation, voices, music, writing and translation, built on our own mech designs, music compositions, voice performances and story direction. Nothing is generated by AI while you play.

You can find the official screenshots and descriptions for Bravemech: The Century War right below.

Bravemech: The Century War

Mecha Action is BACK!

Bravemech: The Century War is an action strategy RPG with mechs. You command one warship in a war between two powers, and you are also its best pilot. When the alarm sounds you launch with your squad and fly your own mech in side-view, real-time battles. Between battles you walk the ship, talk with your crew and move the ship across the sector map.

The battles

Every fight is real time, in space or over a planet's surface, and every mech can fly. You boost and dash, block with an energy shield and watch your heat, and you fight with guns, missiles, a three-hit sword combo and charged beams the enemy can dodge. Buster mechs transform into jets, and when you run low you dock with your carrier in the middle of the fight to repair and rearm.

Rival aces fly off and come back for you. When you beat a mega boss you salvage its Bravecore, the core inside the machine, and build it into your own mech.

You pick your fight HUD: Standard, Minimal, or Cockpit, which puts you in your side's pilot seat, where your hands follow the stick and every gauge flashes as you use it.

Command from the bridge

Before each battle you choose to fly or to command. In Command mode your squad and your ship fight on their own and take your orders to hold, attack, guard the ship, dock, form up or break.

On the sector map six officers sit along the bottom of the screen, and the war only moves when you end the week. You send idle squads on patrols, salvage runs and drills, trade at ports where prices move with convoys and raids, and keep your standing with both powers, the pirate clans and the traders. Five weapon makers sell guns that trade one strength for another, so a new gun is a choice and never a straight upgrade.

A crew for a hundred years

The Century Campaign has 400 named characters, each with a backstory, and over 9,000 lines of conversation. Pick the Star Alliance or the Trinity Empire. Each side has its own cast and its own road through the war, so your second story is a different story.

The war lasts longer than any pilot can fly, so the ship passes down. One day you hand command to the next generation and fly on as a pilot in their squad, until you retire or the war takes you.

The cast speaks English, Japanese and Chinese, with more than 68,000 voice clips, and the voice language is its own setting.

Up to four players on one screen

Every mode plays solo or with up to four players on one screen. Friends fly in your squad in both campaigns, and VERSUS is 1v1 and 2v2 mech duels against each other or against AI pilots from level 1 to 10. The game has full controller support, with Xbox, PlayStation and Switch button names.

99 of 100 mechs animated

The roster runs from mass-produced grunts to custom aces, in two factions and four roles: blade, heavy, fast and support. All 99 shoot and fight up close, and 51 of them also dash, boost and fire charged beams. Your commander is yours to build, from face and hair to the pilot suit, and every port sells new outfits.

The soundtrack

About 60 tracks, three and a half hours of music, and every lead melody is the developer's own. They come from demos written and kept across more than 20 years of making music that hit the charts in Asia, arranged and produced for this game.

Try it first

Nobody big is making this kind of mech game, so we are building it ourselves, and every copy decides how much more of this war we get to build. The free demo on this page plays the first 30 weeks of the Century Campaign, the Pilot Campaign up to its first gate, and VERSUS with the two flagship mechs. If it's your kind of game, buy Bravemech: The Century War here and fly the whole hundred years.
