It’s been 23 years… are you ready for some Warcraft 3? At BlizzCon this afternoon, Blizzard’s Holly Longdale announced a new campaign for the antique strategy game. Seriously. Best yet, you can play it right this very minute.
The content spans 30 hours and includes an Arthas-themed Last Days of Lordaeron intro and the core campaign itself – Forsaken Kingdom – which focuses on the undead narrative. We’re also getting a new graphics mode and the new Forsaken Paladin. MOP’s Tyler is losing his mind over some of the trailer’s promised features, especially the boost from 12-unit selection to 24. “That’s almost as good as a new campaign,” he shouted into work chat. Good stuff.
“With its first new storyline in over 23 years, Warcraft RTS is back! Warcraft III Reforged’s new campaign Forsaken Kingdom is available today, exploring the tragic fall of Lordaeron and how it came to be known as the Undercity, alongside the 3.0 update which brings major improvements to the Warcraft III experience including a graphics update and revamped World Editor. “
You’re looking at a $30 buy-in.
